How would you cultivate a deeper relationship with the community you’d like to serve?

Geeks and Makers are engaged in amazing projects and activities practically every day. Unfortunately, only a very small portion of this inspiring, forward thinking work gets documented in a searchable and summarizable way or promoted for others to find. A2Geeks connects and promotes projects and people in the Ann Arbor community, but we are just getting started. A2Geeks volunteers have started designing experiential opportunities for people with ideas, projects, time or resources to connect with each other--creating as a community through sharing. Our first step toward this vision is to find a documentarian to: 1) illustrate the impact of local open source projects; 2) effectively share the experience of learning/making to inspire others; and 3) develop resources that serve as a replicable model for other maker spaces/Geek communities.

How would you use the $1,000 to turn your idea into a reality?

All support from Echoing Green and Good would pay for a Documentarian to help Ann Arbor Geeks inspire and engage the world!
